The FORD company knows how to count money. At least, the management of the American automotive giant, after 50 years, decided on an unexpected step – the serial production of the Mustang Bullit car. The new model has already been showcased at the Geneva International Motor Show, and enthusiasts are left to wait until June when the first sports car will roll off the assembly line.
Ford Mustang Bullit: Revival of a Legend
In America, it is customary to remake films from the 1920s, so it is not surprising that the management at FORD decided on a similar move. A step capable of improving the shaky economic situation of a once profitable enterprise.
It is too early to talk about the prices of the new model, but automotive industry leaders are eagerly discussing the features of the Ford Mustang Bullit. The plan is to produce a sports car with a 5-liter V-shaped engine, producing 456 horsepower. The legend will be equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission, which will help accelerate the car to 270 kilometers per hour.
The new model is expected in two colors – Dark Highland Green and Shadow Black. The classic will feature a chrome radiator grille and 19-inch wheels. Recaro sports seats, Bang & Olufsen audio system, and Brembo brakes hint to buyers that the new model is not in the budget class. Visitors to the Geneva Motor Show claim that the sports car is not an exact copy of the “movie” car that appeared in the 1968 film “Bullit.” But history already keeps silent about that.
