The products of the JBL brand delight us year after year with their remarkable innovations in the world of high-quality sound. However, recently the company seems to be facing some issues. Most likely related to management, which should be sent into well-deserved retirement.
Otherwise, it’s hard to explain the company’s policy, which instead of a new and technologically advanced product, releases a simple restyling. And unreasonably increases the price by 30%.
JBL Charge 5 – the worst product of 2021
Under this headline, the new JBL Charge 5 can confidently be released to the market. All the glowing reviews from bloggers should simply be multiplied by zero, as they all have a profit from the sales of the new speaker. What are the features of the JBL Charge 5?
- The declared sound scheme is 2.2. Implementation – 2 subwoofers and 2 full-range speakers. That’s something out of the realm of fantasy.
- Rain protection suddenly received the marking IP67. Only the speaker, if thrown into a pool, sinks to the bottom and stops playing. Forever.
- Li-Pol battery. Same capacity as in JBL Charge 4 (7500 mAh). The benefit is unclear, as the dimensions remained the same – 220x95x93 mm.
Basically, they took JBL Charge 4, which they couldn’t fully realize. Installed a new Bluetooth board, a battery, added a speaker. And increased the price by 30% – that’s the new product. Even the color scheme of the case wasn’t bothered – everything is completely identical. At least they added DLNA – that would already be a plus for the new product.
