2 Korean brands - Samsung and LG - have always surprised us with their advancement in IT technologies. Samsung is ahead of the rest - patents, concepts, implementation, discounts, gifts, and again everything is in a circle. And LG is such a steamboat, it goes with the flow, copies trends, occasionally brings something of its own to the market. Here is another example - LG XBOOM Go PL7. Who is interested in buying LG XBOOM Go PL7
LG fans who don't care about JBL portable speakers may have fun. Indeed, together with the Koreans, the prestigious English brand Meridian has worked on the creation of acoustics. Which is known as one of the best manufacturers and assemblers of Hi-Fi and Hi-End equipment.
There is only one question for both manufacturers - which components in the LG XBOOM Go PL7 speaker were manufactured and installed by Meridian technicians. I would really like that when disassembling a portable speaker, on speakers or a board, we see the marking of the British brand. From what we can believe it is Dolby license and Meridian Lossless Packing support.
Column LG XBOOM Go PL7 lost in time
The market for gadgets with such simple characteristics has long been packed. In the lower and middle price segment, devices are firmly entrenched JBL... The middle and expensive segment belongs to the brands Bang & Olufsen, Sonos, Marshall. Even Apple has a great solution. Each gadget has its own chips - power, sound quality, light music, DLNA. It is unclear what the peculiarity of the LG XBOOM Go PL7 is. The portable speaker was supposed to appear in 2018, maximum. But not in November 2020.
Definitely, the LG XBOOM Go PL7 is not worth the money. It's unfinished: poor security, few features. Plus, the manufacturer hasn't specified the Bluetooth version anywhere. It's hard for Koreans to admit that they have shipped a Bluetooth 2020 or 4.1 module in 4.2. Maybe Meridian is just a word imprinted on the box and the plastic case of the device. The LG XBOOM Go PL7 is definitely a weird buy at the end of 2020.
