LGA1700 platform in stores very soon

We have already wrote about DDR5 RAM, which all manufacturers are preparing for the official presentation of the LGA1700 socket by Intel. There are already experimental processors, but no motherboards. The news that appeared on the website of the Austrian corporation Noctua makes it clear that the baseboards have been certified.

What do we know about the LGA1700 socket

So, the manufacturer of the coolest cooling systems for processors (talking about Noctua) made a statement on Twitter. The peculiarity of the new LGA1700 connector is that the old cooler models will not fit it. But there is no need to despair. Fans of the brand are invited to get a Noctua mounting kit for the new platform. This designer will help you to combine the cooling system with the LGA1700 socket.

It remains to be seen how this will all be implemented. That is, the kit will need to be purchased or can be obtained for free. The second option is possible, since there has already been an incident when all owners of Noctua coolers received free fasteners for the AMD AM4 platform. Let's hope that something similar will happen with the LGA1700 socket.

The installation kit can be ordered in the third quarter of 2021. This means that we will most likely see the motherboard on the new connector this summer. Naturally, we are still talking about the manufacturer Intel. Considering the fact that the priority for purchasing chips is from ASUS, the first on the market, again logically, we will be able to contemplate the ROG series. We are waiting and watching releases from Intel.
