In a luxurious case from the renowned brand NZXT, introduced to the market in winter 2020, a problem was discovered. As a result, NZXT is recalling the Mini-ITX case H1 from the market. The issue lies in the imperfection of the system unit’s design. A short circuit and ignition of the computer components inside the case may occur.
NZXT recalls Mini-ITX case H1: details
The problem is hidden in one of the case’s bolts that holds the PCI Express riser. It shorts the PCI-E x16 connectors on the motherboard. In most cases, the built-in 650-watt GOLD series power supply detects a short circuit and shuts down the system. However, there are isolated cases where the protection in the power supply did not activate. This leads to the ignition of the graphics card and nearby system components.
NZXT has found a solution to eliminate the short circuit issue in the case. They even offer two ready-made solutions. NZXT is recalling the Mini-ITX case H1 available for sale. The devices are returned to the factory for modifications. Users who have already purchased the case are offered free repair kits and instructions for fixing the defect at home.

NZXT is an American brand for which its own reputation is more valuable than financial gain. To its detriment, they send repair kits to users for free.
