Among all Chinese brands, Huawei stands out in the market for its persistence in innovation. Today, the company has developed a portable uninterruptible power supply and is establishing mass production. Tomorrow, many well-known brands will compete in this new niche for consumers.
Portable UPS Huawei – Integration with Power Bank
In fact, it’s hard to define what exactly this is. It’s some kind of symbiosis between a UPS and a Power Bank. On one side, large batteries with high voltage and current. On the other side, targeting any computer and mobile equipment. At least, it claims to have 2 output sockets with alternating current of 220 V.
In social networks, APC brand enthusiasts have already criticized the novelty for its imperfection. There is no perfect sine wave in the technical specifications. And the switching time to batteries is also not specified. Huawei has not said anything about operational conditions either.
Interesting Innovation from Huawei
Apparently, this is an unusual UPS designed to support powering equipment when there is no electricity. The device’s feature is supporting 12 V power from a car charger and solar panels. It can be used at home or taken outdoors. Two versions of portable UPS are offered:
- 500 Wh (price $380, dimensions 194.8x210x180.9 mm, weight 5.4 kg).
- 1000 Wh (price $710, dimensions 210.1x210x180.9 mm, weight 9.4 kg).
It cannot be said that Huawei’s new products are affordable. But there are no analogs on the market. The feature of this device is converting electrical current from different sources. For example, you can connect a tablet or Power Bank via USB-C port. And have the desired 220 volts AC at the output. If you use all methods simultaneously (car charger, solar energy, USB), the power should be sufficient for household appliances. There is something attractive about this.
