The headphones with MP3 player come in a classic plastic packaging without branding. Included are the player itself, a charging cable (USB-miniUSB), a set of spare ear cushions, and instructions.
By the way, the manual was not superfluous, as it is difficult to figure out the device. Many buttons and no logo “Power,” and it’s unclear where the battery is hidden.
The Q Sound Sport Active III headphones with MP3 player are available in two color options: black and white. Along with ease of use, the audio equipment boasts excellent build quality. Durable plastic and a pleasant button feel.
The headband looks flimsy, but upon closer inspection, the assembly is excellent. The only flaw is the too stiff frame that presses the speaker to the ear. During long runs or walks, it can cause discomfort. Perhaps, one needs to get used to it.
The AA-type battery, without any markings, is hidden in the left “ear”. The control panel, charging port, and SD card slot are in the right. Track switching is done with a step toggle (forward-back).
The volume is adjusted with buttons. There is also a multifunction button – power, Play-Stop. To turn on the player, press and hold this button for a couple of seconds. It also turns it off.
When in operation, a LED indicator is visible on the outside of the right “ear.” For those who like to tinker with the equalizer, there is a dedicated BASS button.

It cannot be said that the MP3 player headphones sound amazing. There are some issues with high frequencies. But overall, not bad. The plastic headbands hold the speakers well against the ears. This results in decent sound quality without external noise. The implementation of the BASS button in the Q Sound Sport Active III is somewhat unclear. The change is minor. Modes: normal, classic, pop, rock, jazz, bass. It seems that the audio equipment simply cuts off frequency ranges. When listening to different music genres in “normal” mode, no flaws are noticeable. Instruments and vocals are well heard. It’s good that the design is foldable – the headphones easily fit into a pocket of pants or a jacket.
Among the drawbacks is that the player did not work with a 16 GB memory card. It accepted 2 and 4 GB cards without issue. Different cards on adapters for SD format. The player only recognizes MP3 files. Other formats are simply not detected. The Chinese battery included in the kit, without markings, is concerning – it lasts about 4 hours at medium volume. After long storage of the headphones (a week), it discharges completely.
