Realism in the world of SCUM: Wet clothing
The player’s fight for their own life in the virtual world depends not only on the behavior and reactions of the surrounding environment. Weather and air temperature can worsen the situation or even kill the player. For example, running in cold weather in heavy rain will result in a cold, which must be fought by warming up by a campfire or taking medicinal drugs.
An enticing mechanism for wetting clothes has been implemented. Stepping into a puddle in water-repellent boots is allowed, but entering up to the waist is not recommended. Since the pants will get wet, and the shoes will fill with water, restricting movement and increasing the player’s weight.
Jumping into a water body with a running start will not allow you to stay dry. And jumping into a lake or deep river with a filled backpack guarantees instant death for the fighter, as the player will simply drown. Developers have taken care of a drying mechanism for underwear, which must be heated by a campfire or aired out. Wearing dry clothes on a wet body and maintaining health will not be possible in the world of SCUM.
