Safety Bubble – is a protective container made of soft materials, designed for transporting oversized cargo. The safety bubble was invented in India by Tata Motors. The first cargo transported in such an interesting container was a Tata Tiago passenger car.
Why is the safety bubble needed
Safety Bubble became an emergency measure for the Indian vehicle manufacturer Tata Motors. The reason is simple – India ranks second in the world for the number of COVID-19 cases. To prevent the spread of the disease outside the manufacturing country, something had to be invented.
The unique solution was the Safety Bubble container. After the car leaves the assembly line, it undergoes thorough washing and disinfection. The next step is placing the vehicle into a soft protective container, which is then handed over to the logistics service.
One aspect that is not entirely clear is how the loading of the car onto the tractor is performed. Since the Safety Bubble is completely sealed, there is a suspicion that a rigid plate with hooks for crane lifting is placed under the soft container. By the way, this raises questions about the effectiveness of the Safety Bubble soft container. At least, users have raised this question in their reviews and social media comments, but no consensus has been reached. Even in the promotional video, this issue is not fully explained.
