Such a gadget can be presented for an anniversary or as a present. The Chinese have tried hard on the issue of registration. Only its massive appearance subtly hints that this watch is definitely not for small women's or children's hands. These are real "cauldrons" for a strong and hairy male hand.

Included with the watch and the strap are: a magnetic cable for charging and connecting to a PC, 2 microUSB cables and a mini-screwdriver for removing the SIM card tray. And another interesting point - the manufacturer claims two protective films for the LCD of the watch. Only one film is already glued at the factory and 1 is included. The box contains excellent instructions in different languages ​​for adjusting the clock. And it is written wisely - everything is clear and accessible.

The watch itself, as for a smart device, looks cool. This is not a plastic bracelet toy - the weight of the Kospet Optimus 2 feels just right. The assembly is of high quality, the buttons work without distortions. A little confused by the protective glass of the camera. It is unknown how scratch resistant it is. The flash is large, but does not work in flashlight mode. And in general, the flash does not work on the original Kospet firmware. This is at the level of the manufacturer's firmware. The LCD is weird. The Chinese have clearly saved. For a resolution of 400x400 dpi, an IPS matrix was installed. Due to this, the text on the screen is slightly blurry. AMOLED with the same resolution would have eliminated this problem. Or would have already done IPS but at least 800x800. It was possible to find a way out with the quality of display on the screen, thanks to the instructions. If you make the picture on the clock not round, but square, then the text becomes more readable. But then the meaning of the round shape of the clock is lost.

The charging of the Kospet Optimus 2 smart watch is implemented at a high level. By the way, the store offers to optionally buy PowerBank for watches. Don't waste your time, better buy a chic leather bracelet. And separately - any PowerBank, which you like in appearance and volume. It will be practical. The charger does not have Quick Charge technology, but the smart watch charges very quickly (no more than 2 hours from 5% to 100%).

The manufacturer immediately announced honest information about the autonomy of the gadget. In Android mode, the watch will run for 2 days (48 hours). In bracelet mode up to 6 days. This is quite enough, given all the functionality of a smartphone that the gadget has.

Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules work exceptionally well in line of sight. But as soon as you go to another room, the quality of information transfer begins to decline. I am very glad that the signal is still not lost, as is often the case with Xiaomi gadgets. There is only one conclusion, there is no built-in antenna in the watch.

The camera works well as for a smartwatch. For recording business negotiations, video calls or entertainment it will do. Expect no more. With good lighting and no hand shake, the photos are decent. But in the evening or in a room with warm lighting, the quality of the photo drops dramatically. The flash in Kospet Optimus 2 is very bright. It is a little inconvenient to use it for selfies - it creates a huge flare over the entire face. But it will work as a flashlight.

The work of GPS deserves special attention. Positioned accurately, quickly and efficiently. Perhaps this is the work of A-GPS, which receives information about satellites through a cellular connection. There are no complaints about working with Google maps.

 

Pros and cons - summary

 

As a phone, the Kospet Optimus 2 works well, the microphone and speaker are of high quality, no questions asked. USSD requests work a little strangely. Possibly a firmware issue. After pressing the call button, for some reason, all the hash lines (#) disappear.

And another question for the manufacturer - where is NFC? It turns out somehow strange - a full set of cool functions and there is no demanded NFC. Although, there are people who do not trust this technology and seek to limit themselves from it. They will love the Kospet Optimus 2 smartwatch.

Summing up, certain conclusions can be drawn. The smartwatch turned out to be successful in terms of functionality and design. They look cool on the hand, replace the smartphone, they definitely work in sports mode. They communicate via Bluetooth with various gadgets, are equipped with a camera and have an adequate price. A little bit to add autonomy and give them an NFC chip, it would be a wonderful gadget for many years.
