TANIX TX9S TV Box: Review
For a budget device, the device is quite well assembled. The pleasant plastic case and functional remote control will delight the user. The abundance of interfaces is impressive. Everything needed for full compatibility with any multimedia device is available. Even a separate output for connecting an infrared sensor. This is not even available on high-end devices.
Regarding hardware, the only concern is the absence of a demanded protocol for wireless networks operating in the 5 GHz range. However, this shortcoming does not affect content loading speed, thanks to a very powerful wired module. Also, Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz works quite fast.

Device Performance TANIX TX9S
The advantages include a wide range of video and audio decoders. Some are processed independently by the device, while others are simply passed through to the receiver. Sound can be transmitted digitally via HDMI and SPDIF, or analog through the AV output.
It is hard to imagine that a budget device does not overheat during use. It is impossible to achieve throttling drops — the graph remains perfectly green. However, the test shows that under significant load, the TV box reduces the processor frequency.
Playing 4K videos from the network or from removable media poses no problem. However, there are some freezes with YouTube. The picture jitters slightly, causing dissatisfaction during viewing. Since most YouTube content is watched in Full HD, this issue is not critical. At lower resolutions, everything works perfectly.
For gaming enthusiasts, the TANIX TX9S TV box is not suitable. The issue is not performance but hardware limitations. The 2 GB of RAM (part of which is used by the Android system) is insufficient for running demanding games. The graphics card is also weak. Therefore, the device is only intended for viewing video content.
