After the launch of the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra phone, you can breathe a sigh of relief. The Chinese concern has managed to create a really cool smartphone that has a great future.
We are confident that the main competitor of the Xiaomi brand, Huawei, has lost support for Google services. And accordingly, and timely updates. The smartphone is timed to coincide with the 10th anniversary of the Xiaomi corporation. In general, the entire line of the 10th version is timed to this solemn event. By the way, the birthday of the Chinese brand is April 6th. Therefore, the manufacturer tried to make a cool phone, bringing together all the available technologies. If you look at the technical characteristics of the Mi 10 and the phones of yesteryear, you can find some similarities. But they only concern the best characteristics. And it pleases.
Another feature is the number 120, which very often flashed at the presentation of the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra in China. Here's what we found:

First acquaintance with Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra
The cherry on top is the OLED screen provided by the Chinese brand TCL, which produces very high quality LCD TVs. Before the launch of the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra smartphone, we were tormented by doubts about such a decision. After all, 120 Hz OLED displays, before that, could only be seen on the flagship Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. Now we can safely say that Samsung has found a competitor in the market. This means that very soon other brands will receive this technology, and Koreans will reduce prices for their expensive phones.
Gorgeous autonomy and fast charging
The capacity of batteries, in conducting reviews, is usually discussed at the end of the article. But we have been conducting tests for several days and we hasten to share good news. A nice moment is fast charging with 120 watts. It charges from 0 to 100% in 23 minutes. It makes no sense to discharge the battery to zero, since the battery is adapted to frequent recharging. But in normal mode, these 120 watts are quite useful. For example, before going to work, in just 5 minutes, we charged the phone from 50 to 73%. And what pleases me is the support wireless charging, the convenience of which we have recently described.
As for the battery itself, it is quite capacious - 4500 mAh. One could even admire this, but we must not forget that the processor in the phone is also TOP. In active mode of use (Wi-Fi, 5G, surfing the Internet and phone calls), one charge lasts for a whole day. In games, the smartphone will last up to 8 hours of continuous operation. The video was not tested, but we predict that it should be enough for 12 hours.
120x Zoom: Another Marketing Ploy?
Let's not be honest, but all these Ultra-zooms and megapixels, with a microscopic matrix size, are really marketing moves by smartphone manufacturers. When photographing handheld, the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra takes pictures no better than phones from 10 years ago. But, as soon as you put your smartphone on a tripod and set shooting with an automatic shutter, the situation changes radically. In low daylight, or under fluorescent light, autofocus often misses, but if you press the settings, you get great photos.
The cameras themselves work great. Both during the day and at night. Somewhere there have already been reports that Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra, in terms of the quality of photography, surpassed Huawei products. Do not believe it is not so. The novelty is much inferior in shooting photos and videos to the Huawei P40 Pro Plus and Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra models. Not to mention the iPhone 11 Pro Max. But, having the price for TOP hardware 1.5-2.5 times less than the named models, it demonstrates similar characteristics in terms of performance, autonomy and ease of use. And this is a serious indicator.

Forgot to mention the color finish of the novelty. Or rather, about the innovation with a transparent back panel for the phone. Imagine - the completely transparent back of the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra smartphone. The microcircuits and the device of the camera block are visible. It cannot be said that it is beautiful, but very bold and unusual. And, if we talk about the courage of the Chinese, then we can remember the speaker system in the phone. This is probably the only case when within the walls of the Xiaomi corporation, technologists have installed a normal audio card in the phone. The sound is great. You listen and enjoy the sound. It is not known why they did not install normal acoustics in smartphones before.
What can I say, the anniversary phone from the Chinese turned out to be very interesting. Considering its sales in China, we are sure that the smartphone will have fans outside the Chinese market. The price is a little confusing. For the version with 8 GB of RAM - 800 US dollars is too much. But the release of iPhone 12 is not far off. And knowing the Chinese, we are just sure that the Android gadget will fall in price in the next few weeks.
