Pundits are confident that the microorganisms that allegedly filled the car's skin and seats can survive on Mars and continue breeding away from their home planet. It sounds exaggerated, but the meaning in the statement is visible, if we agree with Darwin's theory of evolution.

Therefore, the lack of oxygen, radioactive solar radiation and low temperature will act as a sterilizer for the car.
