4K Realme TV with SLED display

The monopoly of the Korean giants (Samsung and LG) over the production of high-quality TVs has come to an end. The Chinese concern BBK Electronics, under one of its brands, has launched a TV with a new and very high-quality matrix on the market. 4K Realme TV with SLED display is better than QLED and OLED displays. And this is already a recorded fact. This means that a revolution is expected on the TV market today or tomorrow. Either the giants of the industry will come to an agreement with a new player, or we will face a huge drop in prices for electronics.

4K Realme TV with SLED display: feature

It's better to start with the fact that SLED technology was developed within the walls of BBK Electronics and patented by a Chinese brand. Owning its own facilities, the company is able to independently manufacture TVs and release them under its own trademark - Realme.

According to the company's technologist, John Roymans, the principle of SLED is quite simple. Instead of the blue backlighting used in QLED panels, RGB backlighting is implemented. Due to this, 2 birds with one stone are killed - the coverage of the color gamut increases and the harmful effect of blue light on the viewer's vision is reduced. The effectiveness of the first advantage is controversial (color gamut increases by only 8%). But the reduction of eye fatigue after prolonged viewing has been proven empirically. Given the democratic prices for the products of the Chinese brand, it is worth expecting that the new product, a 4K Realme TV with a SLED display, will be available in the budget segment.

So far, the cost of the gadget has not been announced. It is only known that the people of India will be the first to see the TV. For the Indian market, the Chinese have already made and launched a commercial. The video shows that the TV received a 55-inch diagonal with a resolution of 3840x2160 dpi. And also, on thematic forums in India, visitors discuss models of TVs with SLED backlighting with a diagonal of 32 and 43 inches. The video presentation can be seen at the link below.
