Elements of a threaded connection (bolts) with an electronic mechanism. It may seem strange the implementation of this project. But it's quite the opposite. Smart bolts are essential in industry and the energy sector.

Compared to conventional hardware, a smart bolt has built-in electronics. These are sensors for determining the displacement along the bolt thread relative to the fastener. And a Wi-Fi chip for transmitting an alarm signal over the air to the security console. It is a pity that the developer did not indicate how it is planned to power the microcircuits with electricity. And if there are batteries inside, then how often they need to be changed. Judging by the design of the bolt head, most likely, the power supply is implemented by connecting batteries.

The standard for data transmission over the air is also not declared. And it doesn't matter what the module will stand for. Even the ancient Wi-Fi a or b is enough for the eyes of the enterprise and outdoor use in open space.

It is clear that smart bolts are definitely not needed for home use. But in the construction of structures subjected to dynamic loads, such hardware will come in handy. For example, in the construction of bridges, TV towers, wind farms, beach houses or hotels. Wherever there is a risk of self-loosening of a bolt on a thread, Smart Screw Connection hardware will certainly be needed.
