Gazer F725: Overview
The dashcam comes in a bulky cardboard box. The packaging features a photo of the product and brief technical specifications. Upon unpacking, it is found that the dashcam and accompanying components are placed in molded foam. This storage method guarantees the contents’ protection during rough transportation from the store to the customer.
The kit includes the device itself, a power cable (3 meters), windshield mount (3M), car cigarette lighter charger (2 USB ports), and an informative manual. The only drawback might be the type of windshield mount. The 3M double-sided tape is highly reliable but not reusable.
Interesting and Popular Technologies
- OBD (On-board diagnostics). This is vehicle computer diagnostics. If the vehicle has this feature, it can be integrated with the dashcam. This opens new possibilities for the owner, where the device displays additional information about the car. Plus, it adds navigation capabilities. Unfortunately, the manufacturer does not include an OBD module in the kit, offering it as an extra purchase. On the other hand, Gazer F725 does not support all car brands, so many buyers may not need to pay extra for this functionality.
- Mode HUD (Head-UP Display). When using a compatible app, information from the dashcam can be projected onto the windshield. However, this requires an OBD module, creating a circular dependency.
- ADAS (advanced driver-assistance systems). This function monitors vehicle management in real-time. It includes two types of monitoring: FCWS (Forward Collision Warning System) and LDWS (Lane Departure Warning System). FCWS tracks the distance to the vehicle ahead and issues an audible warning when approaching too quickly. Similar to parking sensors but for longer distances and higher speeds. LDWS monitors road markings and alerts the driver with a sound when changing lanes. ADAS is useful for drivers who actively use cruise control.
In Conclusion
Among the useful features, especially for internet-active users, are video recording capabilities. Besides cyclic file overwriting, the device can save footage to a cloud service and publish it on social networks. However, this requires installing software for Gazer F725. The dashcam resembles a miniature computer with AI and convenient functionality.
Although there is no night mode, the low-light shooting is quite good. The manufacturer installed excellent glass optics with an aperture of F 1.8. WDR technology helps to handle noise that occurs when entering tunnels or facing bright headlights.
