The collaboration between MUJI and Honda has led to the emergence of an interesting vehicle on the Chinese market. The Honda MS01 electric bicycle features an exclusive design and promises maximum comfort for its owner. The scooter’s feature is the ability to charge the battery on the go. However, as practice shows, people on such bicycles do not actively enjoy pedaling.
Honda MS01 – Bicycle or Scooter
Attention is drawn to the 17-inch cast wheels. For a scooter, they are too large, and for a bicycle, they are small. The frame with a seat and the handlebar placement lean towards a scooter. And the pedal stroke – towards a bicycle. It turns out to be some kind of velo-scooter. Anyway, the technical specifications put everything in its place:
- Electric motor with a power of 400 W.
- Removable lithium-ion battery (capacity not disclosed).
- Range of 65 km (plus 10-15% if pedaling).
- Maximum speed – 25 km/h (speed limiter used).
- Keyless access system.
- Bike computer with control via smartphone app.
- Lighting in the form of a front headlight and a rear taillight.
The price of the Honda MS01 electric bicycle is $745 (in China). The two-wheeled vehicle can be purchased in black or white. The order quantity is limited to a batch of 5000 units. After all, this is a collaboration, not mass production.
