Mecool KM1 Deluxe: review, specifications

We have already encountered the products of the Chinese brand Mecool in 2019. In short, we were very pleased. The set-top boxes are assembled on a smart chipset, brought to mind and have an affordable price. Therefore, when we came across the TV-Box Mecool KM1 Deluxe, there was an acute desire to check its performance.

 

 

And looking ahead, it is a very interesting and workable set-top box for most user tasks. We cannot call it the best, since in terms of functionality it is bypassed by representatives of Beelink and Ugoos (in their price categories). But she is very close to receiving an excellence award.

Now about Deluxe. A pleasant moment that will appeal to all customers is the operation of the cooling system. Everything was done so flawlessly that in tests it is impossible to trot the console, even into the yellow zone. The first thing that catches your eye is the heat dissipation grill. It may seem that there is a cooler, but it is not. BUT! The possibility of mounting an 8 cm fan is available.

 

 

The chipset, on which the processor, memory and network modules are installed, rests against an aluminum plate, which simply gives off heat through the lower grill of the set-top box. Yes, the plate is as thin as foil. But its presence has a great effect on heat removal from the hot chipset. Imagine if you put a fan on - you can freeze the TV box.

 

Fastest verdict on Mecool KM1 Deluxe

 

We said last time and will repeat again, Mecool consoles are good, but they have one unpleasant moment, which for some reason is not mentioned by bloggers. Wired network - 100 megabits. And all hope (when viewing content in 4K format) is on Wi-Fi 5.8 GHz. The wireless module works fine, but only with a good router. We use a mid-range router - ASUS RT-AC66U B1, which does not cut air speed and works stably. And, if you want to buy Mecool KM1 Deluxe, make sure you have a normal router.

 

 

A TV box with a Deluxe prefix is ​​not available in all Chinese online stores. But it is available on the trading floors of many European companies. We have an assumption that the Chinese released this version of the console for export and do not sell it at home. We may be wrong.
