Our dear Chinese friends from the Xiaomi corporation have once again demonstrated the plagiarism tendency to the whole world. We have already written about My Pocket Photo Printer, which was "licked" from LG. This time Xiaomi introduced the world to an innovative technology - a TV with a transparent Xiaomi panel. The novelty was named Mi TV Lux Transparent Edition. One could give a standing ovation to China's technologists, only there is one problem.
Mi TV Lux Transparent Edition: Plagiarism
In 2017, the Korean giant LG Group has already presented a novelty at CES 2017. True, with a matrix in FullHD resolution. But not the point, as Mi TV Lux uses identical technology. Later, in 2019, Samsung Electronics presented its creation called The Window at CES 2019. Believe it or not, this is again a TV with a transparent panel. Therefore, it should be a shame to talk about innovations within the walls of Xiaomi. The Chinese just stole the idea and are trying to market it on their own behalf.
Who are TVs with a transparent panel aimed at?
Considering the price - which is at least $ 7000 (in China), the TV is aimed at the business segment. Such panels are convenient to place in crowded places. For example, business centers, airports, medical institutions, schools. Definitely, Mi TV Lux Transparent Edition is clearly not suitable for household needs. After all, the ordinary user is interested in the quality of the transmitted picture, and not the information content with an elegant design.
It would be another matter if such a decision were issued by the American corporation Apple. Fans would have bought up the transparent TVs right away. After all, this is a cool brand that raises the status of the owner. Or, even cooler, such panels would be presented by Bang & Olufsen. Every tycoon would dream of putting such a technologically advanced transparent TV in his office. And the price here would no longer be important. In general, it is time for the Chinese corporation to think about changing the leadership, otherwise they will not jump beyond the production of solid budget smartphones.
