Review of RAPOO X1800S
It seems to be a budget-class product, judging by the price. But what a wonderful packaging. The keyboard and mouse are not just placed in a cardboard box but have designated compartments. The mouse is removed from one side of the packaging, and the keyboard from the other.
The set includes: mouse + keyboard, USB transmitter, and 2 AA batteries, which are already installed in the devices. To activate them, you need to remove the protective plastic strip from the contact.
The keyboard is not miniature, but compared to similar models, it is quite compact. And very light, despite having a full-size AA battery.
The mouse is standard. Suitable for both left- and right-handed users. The mouse is lightweight and handles cursor movement well on any surface.
The set connects quickly to any device (PC, laptop, TV box). And is well recognized by all programs and games.
The key travel on the keyboard is a matter of preference. It cannot be said that the controls are super comfortable. For example, for frequent typing, the device may not be suitable. First, the key travel is very long, and there is a 15 mm gap between keys. But for gaming – an ideal option.
While testing the set: RAPOO X1800S keyboard and mouse, a small issue was found. The creator of the Technozon channel’s video seems to use a router operating on 5 GHz. For users of budget devices of the old modification working on 2.4 GHz, it is not recommended to buy the set. The keyboard constantly loses signal and does not always detect presses or holds of buttons. When Wi-Fi on the router is turned off, the problem instantly disappears.
As a result, we have a quite inexpensive and functional set, designed for gaming on any device. In particular, on TV boxes. All that remains is to find a compact stand for the controllers, and you can confidently head into battle.
