The Taiwanese brand has dozens of offerings for cooling systems for processors or graphics cards. But there is nothing for effective heat dissipation from PC cases. More precisely – there wasn’t until now. The new ASUS ROG Strix XF120 promises to change that in 2021. The brand announced the start of mass production of the cooler. However, the price of the cooling system has not been specified.
ASUS ROG Strix XF120 – a unique solution for PCs
All that the new product shares with standard case fans are physical dimensions. The ASUS ROG Strix XF120 will have a classic format of 120x120x25 mm. Beyond that, it smoothly transitions us into the Premium device category (yes, like Noctua). Here is a list of the claimed capabilities:
- Sliding bearing with a magnetic centering system. For those unfamiliar – a magnet is embedded in the bearing, which minimizes the friction between the rotor and stator regardless of the cooler’s orientation. Such devices are called levitation systems in physics. According to ASUS technologists, the failure rate is up to 400,000 hours. That’s approximately 45 years of continuous operation.
- Adjustable fan speed – 250-1800 RPM.
- Noise level (at maximum RPM) does not exceed 22.5 dB.
- Airflow of ASUS ROG Strix XF120 – 62.5 CFM (cubic feet per minute).
The ASUS brand promises an official warranty of 60 months for this cooler. With experience working with ASUS hardware (motherboards and graphics cards), purchasing the ASUS ROG Strix XF120 will be advantageous for everyone. Even if the cost of the cooler is on par with the legendary Noctua. After all, ASUS equipment becomes outdated morally, but its cooling systems continue to operate flawlessly for many years. This impeccable quality is what excites all fans of the Taiwanese brand ASUS.
