In the budget segment (up to $300), the Chinese introduced the Honor X40 smartphone. It would be possible not to notice the novelty, but the characteristics of the screen attracted attention. The manufacturer put a very expensive display. A complete analogue of their flagships. But the electronic filling is weak. Hence the questions arise.
Perhaps marketers heard the owners of budget smartphones. After all, everyone wants a gadget cheaper and with a juicy display. Here, Honor X40, just meets the stated requirements. The only thing is the screen size. Almost 7 inches is already a "shovel". A smartphone for people with poor eyesight - grandparents. Advantages and disadvantages of the Honor X40 smartphone
Definitely, the price for a gadget with such a gorgeous screen is a clear plus in favor of the novelty. Even the flagships of many brands do not have such characteristics and are close. Photos, videos and text are guaranteed to be readable in any light and in original quality.
Quite an interesting approach to the smartphone platform. Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 does not shine with high performance. But it consumes little energy. This is a plus for those who do not want to monitor the battery charge daily. Approximately, the battery will last for 3 days. Or maybe for a week, if you use the phone for its intended purpose.
But the volumes of RAM and permanent memory are confusing. Too much for a budget. Even more expensive Samsung devices have lower numbers. Plus, the manufacturer has implemented a swap file on a 2.2 GB UFS 7 disk. This is convenient for resource-intensive toys so that textures load faster. But the chipset and graphics accelerator will not let you play normally at Ultra settings. Some vicious circle.
