We have a twofold attitude towards Sony products. On the one hand, the brand creates all the stuffing for technology on its own. On the other hand, it produces low-quality products and inflates prices. The Sony Xperia 1 smartphone that appeared on the market (and its updated variations) interested me. But again, past experience suggests that they are trying to deceive us again.

 

What is the weakness of the Sony brand

 

We have a very sad experience with the Sony Xperia XZ2 smartphone. After working for a little over one year, the phone's display began to turn yellow. The trip to the service center was dumbfounded:

• Many buyers have this problem.
• There is no free service replacement.
• There are no original spare parts for Sony.
• What to do - buy a new one.

 

It was a blow below the belt. Even budget companies such as Xiaomi, Samsung and LG always have access to original spare parts for smartphones from 3 years ago. After such an experience, the desire to buy a Sony phone fell away forever.

After 2 years, it turned out that all manufacturers, like a blueprint, began to stamp phones with a large screen. The equipment simply does not fit in the palm of your hand, and you can forget about the convenience of controlling with one hand. The exception is the iPhone and Google Pixel. The rest of the brands just make mini-tablets. Naturally, I had to look again for a phone in a normal classic form factor. And it was found - Smartphone Sony Xperia 1.

 

 

Technical characteristics and quality of shooting can be seen in any store. And we will talk about ease of use. By the way, given that Sony makes cameras for most of the cool brands, you can rest assured that the smartphone takes great photos and videos. Plus, the manufacturer has supplemented all phones with proprietary camera control software. In fact, the buyer receives a digital camera with automatic and manual settings.

 

 

As for ergonomics, the Sony Xperia 1 smartphone just fits perfectly in the hand and is easily operated with one finger. Yes, it is elongated (aspect ratio 21: 9), but that does not prevent it from being used. The phone does not stick out in jacket or trouser pockets when worn. Does not slip in your hands. It is very convenient to use.

 

Advantages and disadvantages of the Sony Xperia 1 phone

 

Please note that most smartphone reviews tell us about great photography. And in general they do not pay attention to the quality of the work of technology in the role of a mobile phone. And all buyers are set that the sound will be excellent by default. The Sony Xperia 1 smartphone transmits excellent voice messages in both directions. It seems that the interlocutor is nearby. Even the speakerphone has no interference. That's cool. The speakers play loudly, the frequencies are not cut, as is the case with the beloved by many Xiaomi. As a phone, Sony is flawless.

 

 

The disadvantages include the price - the Japanese again took it from the ceiling. We are sure that in a year the company will make a huge discount on this phone model, as it always happens. But at this stage, the cost does not match the specifications of the device. And paying for the Sony brand has long been out of fashion. By the way, there are no spare parts for Xperia 1 in service centers yet. This is already a wake-up call. Have we bought a one-way ticket again? Let's hope that the smartphone will last more than a year without breakdowns.
