According to the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA), only in December 2021, 40,500 new Tesla Model Y vehicles were sold. It’s hard to imagine how many cars in total were purchased in China over the year since the start of sales. Official statistics report 170,000 vehicles. But this only accounts for official imports.
