According to analytics from the Canalys research center, in 2022, manufacturers shipped 49 million wearable gadgets from their warehouses. The list of devices includes both smart watches and fitness trackers. Compared to 2021, this is 3.4% more. That is, the demand has increased. However, there are noticeable changes in the choice of preferred brands.

  • Huawei smart watches have moved from 3rd to 5th place in the table. Judging by the reviews of the owners, the fault is the overpriced gadgets. Despite the abundance of functionality, design and autonomy, buyers are not ready to give money for such an expensive wearable device.
  • Lost its position and the company Xiaomi. Interestingly, the reason is not at all in the price. After all, Chinese goods are more often located in the budget segment. The problem is related to the lack of new technologies. From year to year, Xiaomi releases identical bracelets that differ in appearance, but do not carry anything new. Plus, for 5 years the company has not solved the problem with the software. Applications have poor settings and are not able to maintain a stable Bluetooth signal.

  • Over the past 6 months, Samsung has been able to increase sales and reach the 2nd place in popularity. Indeed, the South Korean giant has started producing cool smartwatches. And, despite the high price, gadgets are interesting to buyers all over the world.
  • A new player broke into the TOP-5 - the Indian brand Noise. These guys have brought together all the known technologies and implemented them into wearable gadgets. And the icing on the cake is the extremely low price. If the manufacturer is not about to get impudent, then he has every chance to knock out Chinese smart watches and fitness trackers from the market.

Among the outsiders, OPPO and XTC companies are marked on the market. This is not to say that manufacturers produce the worst products. It's about marketing here. Little is known about brands to potential buyers. Although, in terms of functionality, some models are better than Samsung analogues.
