Only instead of somehow organizing all these technologies correctly, manufacturers rushed to stamp semi-finished products. A great example is the TV-BOX T-95 Plus. Specifications and attractive design just make you buy a set-top box. But one has only to connect the device to the TV, as all these declared properties begin to annoy.

TV-BOX T-95 Plus review - advantages
The attachment is really attractive and beautiful, just like in the picture from the seller. From a distance, it resembles a Christmas tree, which shimmers with all the colors of the rainbow. Only here there are 2 points:
- The short cable in the kit allows not all TVs to remove the set-top box from behind the panel. As a rule, such gadgets are screwed on the back of the TV using the Bluetooth remote control.
- At night, if you turn off the lights, these bright LED lights are a little annoying. And even interfere with watching movies.
The manufacturer announced full support for all video codecs (popular for FullHD and 4K content). And they work great. Even the sound is forwarded. You can safely watch movies from any signal sources in quality and with good sound. Built-in graphics accelerator Mali-G52 2EE, paired with ROCKHIP 3566, launch highly productive toys. And the manufacturer has also installed popular multimedia programs for working with the set-top box.
TV-BOX T-95 Plus review - disadvantages
Without leaving the games for the console for Android. They run great and manage well. They only work for a short time - 2-3 minutes. The chip overheats and everything freezes. And all because the console has an ill-conceived cooling system. Even if you screw a cooler to it, the problem will not be solved. Initially, the chip is not properly configured. And this overheating is the main problem for the TV-BOX T-95 Plus.
The manufacturer announced support for 8K. There are already 8K videos on Youtube channels, but they do not run on this set-top box. Either they are not supported, or the chip cannot handle the processing. To 4K with 60 FPS, the ratio is twofold. Movies from external storage to Synology NAS work well, no questions asked. And from Youtube - 50 to 50. If this is some kind of culinary blog - everything is fine, if videos about tropical countries - there are losses (friezes). And still no HDR. You can turn it on and off as much as you like, the picture does not change from this.
A nice thing about the TV-BOX T-95 Plus is the presence of a wired gigabit port. If you plan to use a Wi-Fi wireless interface, then it is better not to buy a set-top box. Since at a frequency of 2.4 GHz it has a download speed of up to 20 Mb / s, and on Wi-Fi 5 GHz - up to 60 Mb / s. And this means that there can be no question of any 4K.
Another negative about the set-top box is a blatant deception of the user. The built-in program shows one value (for example, 60 degrees Celsius), and the pyrometer takes much larger readings from the body (70-80 degrees). Naturally, we trust the pyrometer, since it performs all other measurements correctly.
T-95 Plus TV box verdict
One could say that the gadget is suitable for trivial tasks - viewing videos of all formats in FullHD and 4K. For videos from a flash drive, network and Youtube TV-BOX T-95 Plus is suitable. But its price just doesn't match those abilities. In our review was TV-BOX X96 Max Plus 2/16 GB with half the price ($ 40). So it's better to buy it - it's faster and cheaper.
Another oddity is the hundreds of positive product reviews in Chinese online stores. It is not clear who these people are who are praising the TV-BOX T-95 Plus. He's not worth his money. For $ 80, you can buy the same Xiaomi, it will be much cooler and more convenient to use.
