Casio G-SHOCK G-LIDE GBX-100KI-1ER and Kanoa Igarashi

An interesting collaboration is presented by a cool Japanese brand for the production of electronic watches and a Japanese surfer. The G-LIDE Casio G-SHOCK watch series has been replenished with a unique model GBX-100KI-1ER. The declared price of new items is $270. The start of sales is scheduled for November 5, 2021.

 

Casio and Kanoa Igarashi - the right thematic approach

 

It may seem strange that the Japanese company Casio decided to take such a step. After all, the brand is doing very well, and surfing in the world is not as popular as other sports. But it was Kanoa Igarashi who managed to radically change the design of the watch, making it stand out from all other gadgets in the G-LIDE series.

The main task of such a union was to increase the information content of the watch. Having an ebb and flow chart is very valuable information for surfers. And the more correct data, the better. In terms of functionality, it turned out very high quality and beautiful. Casio GBX-100KI-1ER watch has a Bluetooth module for synchronization with a smartphone.

 

In addition to the ebb and flow, the watch informs about the phases of the moon, knows how to determine the distance traveled and helps in training. But such functionality is no longer surprising. Therefore, the emphasis was on design. And the Japanese managed to make exclusive watches.

I am glad that Casio watches are made in a simple style - there are no colored inserts or lights. A completely black watch has light blotches along the contour of the screen. The text is displayed in white. On the glass and bezel there is an image of Kanoa Igarashi floating in the crest of a wave. The strap and lid bear the original signature of the surfer. The number 50 on the strap is the participant number. At the WSL Championship Tour, Canoa was represented with this number.
