Office Chair Racing Rules

Sitting work in the office is a difficult and boring task. Outside the window, life is in full swing - people are in a hurry somewhere, relaxing, playing sports or having fun. One wants to leave the workplace and find something for the soul. The Japanese found a way out of this situation and came up with an entertaining competition: racing on office chairs.

Moreover, not simple pokatushki on the floor in the building, but real race, with dozens of participants and a racing track. Beginning in 2009, the roar of fast-moving office chairs echoes through the sleepy streets of the Japanese town of Hanyu.

Office Chair Racing

The competition was officially named "Isu Grand Prix". A special track is created for the race, with obstacles and road markings. To participate, you need to create a team of office employees. And the winners get a valuable prize - an 30-kilogram bag of rice.

Racing rules are simple. The usual relay race, where each member of the team, trying to get ahead of the opponents, reaches the finish line and passes the move to the next player. Races in office chairs oblige the competitor not to tear his buttocks off the seat. Management of "transport" is carried out only by feet. Riding is performed forward with your back, because otherwise it is unrealistic to develop high speed. Competitions last about two hours.
