It is noteworthy that Ford implemented the last large-scale construction 50 years ago. Therefore, this project attracted attention. The company plans to rebuild production facilities with a total area of 23.3 square kilometers. The plant will be located in Stanton, Tennessee. The name of the enterprise has already been thought up - Blue Oval City. The good news for Americans is the creation of 6000 jobs.
But that is not all. In Kentucky, the company will build another facility (BlueOvalSK Battery Park) with 5000 jobs. It will be a specialized complex for the development of innovative projects in cooperation with a South Korean company.
The launch of the plant is scheduled for 2025. Until then, Ford plans to start producing electric vehicles using imported batteries. It's easy to guess that these will be SK Innovation batteries. In addition to battery production, Ford plans to launch a line to recycle old batteries. This is a great investment for zero waste production. How all this will be implemented, we will know only in 4 years.
What are the prospects in Ford for electric vehicles
