The assembly plant was founded by the Germans in 1994. According to company representatives, over two billion dollars have been invested in the plant over two decades, increasing the capacity and area of the enterprise. As of the beginning of the 2017 of the year, the factory employs 9 of thousands of people in two shifts, releasing the X3, Х4, Х5 and Х6 crossovers demanded in the USA and overseas from the assembly line. The peak production capacity of the enterprise is 450 thousand cars per year.
As for the BMW X7, it is not a problem for the plant to start mass production of new cars. However, company representatives perplexed fans of the BNW brand, stating that the car would not leave the United States in the next six months. In the American market, the crossover will have to confront the legends: Mercedes GLS, Lincoln Navigator and Range Rover, so the question of limiting the market remains open. Indeed, in Europe, BNW has more chances to please a buyer than in America.
According to rumors, the X7 has a 258-horsepower 2-liter turbocharged engine and an additional 113-horsepower electric motor. At the output, a German native of American origin will receive 326 horsepower - acceptable for a crossover. The manufacturer plans to introduce modifications with diesel and gasoline engines for fans of the classic "Bavarian engines". An 8-speed hybrid automatic and all-wheel drive will put the "seven" on a par with competitors in the market.
