The Bermuda Triangle has moved to Belgium

The region of Mechelen-Villebroek (Belgium, province of Antwerp) has already begun to be compared with the Bermuda Triangle. In this area alone, several thefts associated with break-in vans are reported every day. Moreover, we are talking not only about private cars, but also about the transport of small and large companies. All these events look very mysterious and inexplicable. Indeed, in other cities of the country there are no such problems.

Mechelen police call for vigilance

Interestingly, instead of reporting the arrest of criminals, the Belgian police introduced a whole set of rules for the owners of vans. And it's not a joke. The local police are faced with such a problem for the first time and simply do not know how to solve the problem. And the recommendations of the representatives of the law look like this:

  • When leaving your car in the parking lot, make sure that all windows and doors are closed. Be sure to check the operation of the electronic blocking lock from the control panel.
  • Overnight parking is best done in the garage at home or in a guarded parking lot.
  • The van cannot be parked in an unlit place - only in a well-lit place.
  • Always take all your valuables with you, regardless of where you park.

The Belgians have already reacted to such statements by the police and even gave good advice to the authorities. With humor, people are in complete order, and the logic is clearly traced:

  • "Get the detective Pierre Nieman (the hero of the movie" Crimson Rivers ") to work urgently - this guy will find the criminals in 24 hours.
  • “When leaving the van in the parking lot, load all the tools and belongings into the cart. And do not forget to bring it all back in the morning. "
  • "Be sure to carry pole lamps with you as you will need them to improve lighting on public roads."

And there are hundreds of such comments. And all of them are related to the recommendations of the Mechelen police. All jokes, but Belgian taxpayers are deeply concerned about the authorities' inaction. After all, vans are used by construction companies, plumbers, cleaning service representatives. But what can I say, almost all business owners use this type of transport. And the situation in the Mechelen area is really serious.
